A fantastic Rose Cabat turquoise/blue asymmetrical pottery bowl. The piece measures 3" high, 7" wide (at top), and sits on a 1 3/4" diameter base. Signed by Cabat on the bottom of the piece. We've owned several of Rose Cabat's pieces, but I especially love the unique shape and design of this one, not to mention the great color. About the artist: Rose Cabat (1914 – 2015) was an American studio ceramicist, classified as part of the mid-century modern movement who was best known for her innovative glazes upon small porcelain pots called 'feelies' often in the shape of onions and figs, and bowls. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known actively practicing pottery artist in the United States.
